i visited china for three days about 7 years ago and have always wanted to come back.
so when i was offered a job at anqing foreign language school, i leapt at the chance. i didn’t know anything about anhui or anqing, but i know now i made a very good choice. the city is so green, with beautiful lakes and rivers that i already feel very at home here.
the people i have met have all been so friendly and generous that it has really made me want to learn chinese so i can talk to them without using my phone to translate…
all of the other teachers at afls have been really helpful to me; especially the wonderful helen! my students are very nice and friendly and i am enjoying teaching them. but: they are not talkative enough enough for my liking!!! i am determined this will change by the end of the year!
